Torontohenge sunset (RS1A7)
Torontohenge sunset (RS1A7)
There are four annual occurrences of Torontohenge; two sunrises and two sunsets. The sunset editions take place in February and October, while the sunrise henges happen in April and August.
Seen from Queen St West, here is what the Torontohenge sunset looked like in February, 2018. All the defining features of this interaction with a descending sun and an urban grid are present: the sun at low altitude, red-orange glow on the buildings and an orange streak down the middle of the street.
