This section is about science and tech (including technology and techniques). For some photographers, talking gear and tech is as much fun as photography itself. Personally, I enjoy capturing images more, but I do confess to a certain degree of passion about the tools and methods of the trade. When I do a deep dive into tech, I often delve into science as well.

Although I am a devoted Nikon shooter, I am not one to claim it is superior to Canon, Sony or other brands. My choice of Nikon was random at the beginning. In fact, I have a Canon PowerShot somewhere in storage. But once I started down the road of serious photography, it made sense to stick to one brand. Over the course of a few years, I have come to learn the strengths and weaknesses of Nikon. No doubt, this knowledge influences my style of photography.
